ガザの画家と連絡をとりながら、東京で彼女の作品集を作りました。絵だけでなく、文章もたくさん収録しています。ジェノサイド下のガザで、ひとりの人間として、若い女性として、アーティストとして生きることについての、リアルタイムでの記録です。本文は日英2言語です。
作家はマラー・ハラドさん。Twitter/Xを作品発表の場としている作家さんです。欧米でも注目されており、私は知らなかったのですが、この本を作っているときに欧州と米国で同時に画集が作られていました。

マラーさんは18歳。ジェノサイド下のガザでテント暮らしを強いられながら、家族の生活を支えるため、毎日絵を描き、SNSにアップして売っています。彼女の作品を、日々のことなどを世界に向けて英語で書き綴った文章と合わせて、1冊にまとめました。画家の作品集であり、個人的視点からのジェノサイドの記録です。A5版、48ページ。日英二言語。
売り上げは、製作費と必要経費を除外して、作家のマラーさんに送られます。

Marah, a young Palestinian artist from Beit Hanoun, Gaza, paints every day in her tent and posts her art on Twitter/X to support her family. This book is a compilation of her art and words, which chronicles the genocide from a personal point of view. 48 pages in A5 size. Bilingual (Japanese and English).
Proceeds from this book go to the author/artist, Marah.
